Today my husband was greeted by the mailman today with a heavy box. When he saw me he asked me what did I order…a box of rocks?? I just shrugged my shoulders because I couldn’t recall what was ordered but he was anxious to open the box up. We opened it up and that is exactly what was in the box…rocks! I few weeks ago I found gorgeous Laguna lace agate rough and placed an order. It arrived today and its absolutely beautiful. My husband is now out in the “workshop” slabbing up a piece of rough that initially looked uninteresting. It ended up having a beautiful purple hue, would almost say the quartz vein looks to be purple. The banding in the stone is beautiful and I cannot wait for him to start cabbing a few pieces so I can make some pieces over the weekend!
We just created a new piece made out of Montana Agate and accented with a smokey quartz faceted stone.
The stone was hand cut from rough and we made it into a free form cabochon that showed off both the dentrites in the stone as well as beautiful banding. I am excited to cut some more of this rough as there are some beautiful banding in this rough that is a gorgeous brown that goes excellent with smokey quartz.
We have been hard at work redesigning our site! Check out our new look just in time for the holidays. We are celebrating our new look by offering 10% off your order by using the coupon code: NEWLOOK10 at checkout!
We are continuing to add new designs to our site and just put up some one of a kind Geode Slice Necklaces and added a few more Cape May Stone wire wrapped pendants.
Keep checking back for more new items as the season continues!
This coprolite pendant has been in the making for quite sometime. The stone itself is a story all by itself. We purchased a bunch of bulk lapidary material months and months ago and it was up to us to identify what eat stone was. So we are going slowly through the rough and picking some of the most interesting and appealing pieces, cutting them to slabs and then trying to identify them. This piece caught our eye because of all the bright and vivid colors present in this stone. The reds, oranges and yellows all seem to swirl around in random patterns within clear agate. It had us perplexed for a bit as its quite unusual pattern for a rock to form. After a bit if research, we realized we were not dealing with just any kind of agate, we were dealing with Coprolite, which is essentially fossilized Dinosaur poo!

This stone was so unique that my husband spent time cutting, shaping and polishing up a cabochon for me to use in a piece of jewelry. I set this piece of dino poo in a fine silver bezel with a sterling silver base. I also accented the piece with an almadine garnet to show off the deep reds seen in the coprolite. The pendant is finished off with a sterling silver snake chain and I just love the way this
coprolite pendant came out!!
September marks Prostate Cancer Awareness month and it is a good time to learn more about Prostate Cancer and early warning signs. To learn more about prostate cancer, visit www.zerocancer.org and remind someone today about screening for prostate cancer. Please also check out our prostate cancer awareness bracelet below and show your support!

September is National Ovarian Cancer Awareness month. Take the time to read about ovarian cancer and education yourself about potential signs as Ovarian cancer is known as the “silent killer” as often times there are no signs and to day, there are no screening procedures for early detection.
Please check out our Ovarian Cancer Awareness Bracelet and spread the word about ovarian cancer awareness!
It took a while, but the beginning of the Cape May jewelry line is starting to be updated. We just added a bunch of pendant necklaces from clam shells, sea glass and stones. Check it out here!
We have been packing and making and sorting and all sorts of great stuff for the past few weeks. I have TONS of jewelry made from Cape May Diamonds and Cape May stones as well as shell jewelry and sea glass. I have been stockpiling for the big show, but once the show is done – what is left will be going up on the site for everyone to see!
If you are down in the Cape May New Jersey area this weekend, please stop on by the Promenade on the boardwalk and come say hi! Saturday and Sunday (8/15-8/16) we will be there from 10AM – 5PM.
Looking forward to seeing you there!!
The tumbler is almost done and the Cape May Diamonds will be ready to wire wrap and make into jewelry. I found a bunch of larger Cape May Diamonds that have been hidden away that I am now in the process of wirewrapping into pendants. I am also starting to wirewrap some seaglass all in preparation for the show we are doing in Cape May on August 15th and 16th. So I am on the porch enjoying the beautiful day wirewrapping away!
